Stampin' Up! - Heart Happiness #1

It's Sunday evening and it's been another busy week. I hope you managed to find time for a little creativity!

I'm blessed to have met some really lovely ladies through Stampin' Up! and some have become regulars at my monthly classes. We make three or four cards using lovely SU products. Some ladies follow my samples exactly and others are inspired to design their own versions, which is wonderful.

For January 2018, I designed four cards: a birthday, a thank you, an engagement, wedding or anniversary and lastly a Valentine's Day card.

I will share them all with you over the coming days / weeks either here or on my Facebook page (@LynnieCDesigns) - check out the sneak peek I posted yesterday?

Here are two versions of the monochromatic Valentine's Day card made using the new Heart Happiness photopolymer stamp set. The dapper denim version is for my husband! He won't read this so I can share it with you.  To show how quick and easy it is to make, I filmed a calypso coral version - check out my latest video tutorial below. The sentiments are from one of my new favourite sets from the new Occasions Catalogue (I know I say that a lot!) the gorgeous Petal Palette clear mount stamp set.

As with most of my cards, the base is half a sheet of A4 scored down the middle. The whisper white layer is cut 0.5cm smaller to show a small border. Each card uses one colour of ink and matching card stock. I do love clean and simple cards especially when they can be made using minimal supplies.

I got to play this weekend!

Hey crafty friends

I feel so blessed, as I got to play with the amazing new Stamparatus from Stampin' Up! this weekend.

My lovely friend and upline, Victoria McLafferty, was on the Leader to Leader team (a group of SU employees and demonstrators that volunteer and collaborate on the development of new products) and the team got to order this new stamp positioning tool before everyone else. Anyway, Victoria go hers delivered just before the New Year and she let me take hers home to have a play. I've ordered one but have to wait for delivery next month!

So this is the card I created after my first play. I've used one of the new Sale-a-bration stamp sets Beautiful Peacock.

I'm rather pleased with the way it turned out. I used Tranquil Tide, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White cardstock with Tranquil Tide and Tempting Turquoise ink. Stitched Shapes Framelits create the frames around the peacock and small sentiment. Both sentiments are heat embossed in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. Gold sequins add a bit of blimg!

I made a quick video - I'm out of practice so its full of waffle - I mean FULL! Anyway, I hope you'll learn a little about this new amazing tool.

This stamp set is lovely. It is one of the products that can be earned free with an order of £45 or more. Here's another card I made using Elegant Eggplant and Melon Mambo. I've got lots of other ideas but as usual didn't have enough time to do more crafting!

Happy New Year!

Hello

I know it's been a while - there seems to have been one thing after another. I caught a bug, lost my voice and then got distracted making Christmas card and trying to gather enthusiasm for the festive season.

Tonight I decided to do a "quick" post to share some photo's of recent projects and I've been sitting here trying to remember the projects we made a class in December as I didn't have any photo's.  I know there was a Christmas cracker made using the Envelope Punch Board and a 6" x 6" piece of DSP but I gave the one I made to one of my god-daughter's for Christmas without taking a photo! Then it came to me and here it is:-

Using one 12" x 12 " sheet of DSP we made 4 note cards with envelopes and a little gift box to put them in. It is not very easy (for me) to explain how it's made, I will do a video but have not gotten round to it yet - technical difficulties with my phone, lighting, you name it ... it's gone wrong!

This is one of my favourite Christmas cards. A bridge card that I made at my lovely up-lines class. These types of cards are called U-fold or Bridge cards and give a real wow but fold flat so can be posted.

Today is an important day for us at Stampin' Up! with the launch of a new Occasions Catalogue and the start of Sale-A-Bration. If you don't have a demonstrator and live in the UK please get in touch as I would be happy to send you a catalogue.

Introducing the STAMPERATUS

I am so excited about the launch of the new Stampin' Up! stamping tool the STAMPARATUS. I saw it at #OnStage2017 and it will change the way you stamp!

There is simply nothing like it on the market. It includes a magnetic base with non slip feet and two strong magnets, stored on the base. The rulers and gridlines help with quick measuring and two sides are open for stamping on larger cardstock. There are TWO (yes 2) clear plates that are hinged and reversible so there are FOUR (yes 4) stamping surfaces, it can be used with both red rubber and photopolymer stamps and there is a foam mat to use with photopolymer stamps.
This innovative design makes multiples with ease, giving a consistent clear stamped image and if you don't get a clean impression first time just apply more ink and re-stamp - no need to start again. Easily create 2, 3 and 4 step images with the reversible plates.
So how do you get one?  Stampin' Up! are testing a new reservation system. You reserve your Stamparatus and get guarantee shipment as soon as the product arrives in the warehouse.

The global launch features three reservation windows. For each window, reservation quantities are while stock lasts. There is a limit of 1 tool per customer per reservation window but you can participate in multiple reservation windows if you want more!

RESERVATION WINDOWS          AVAILABLE TO SHIP

16–30 November 2017                    Approx. 1 February 2018
5–30 December 2017                       Approx. 19 March 2018
15–30 January 2018                         Approx. 15 April 2018

I hope you're as excited about this new tool as I am and want to be one of the first to get your hands on one so be ready to reserve yours, I know I will be!!

Click here to go to my on-line store (do you love the new look website?  I do!!!) or contact me at lynniecdesigns@gmail.com for more information on how to reserve your Stamparatus.

As always thanks for stopping by.

Swaps for #OnStage2017 local in Solihull

Hi folks

This weekend demonstrators from all over the UK will be attending a Stampin' Up! OnStage local event in Solihull.

It was an exclusive event for Stampin' Up! demonstrators and offers an inspiring agenda bursting with creativity, we get sneak peeks, the opportunity to craft with new products, training and the chance to celebrate achievers.

I joined the SU family in October 2015 so this will be my second OnStage. Last year inspired me to start this blog, have classes / workshops and create my YouTube Channel. Crafting is a passion (or therapy lol) and becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and having the opportunity to start my own little crafting business has been one of the best decisions I've ever made! If you want to learn more, get in touch at lynniecdesigns@gmail.com so we can have a chat about it.

It is customary to swap! What is that I hear you ask! Swapping helps us share our creativity, appreciate the creativity of others and collect ideas. A card front, a 3D project, simple or complex it is entirely up to us as long as we use items from the current catalogues. It is a great way to meet new friends, get new ideas and have some fun.

Last year I made these cute little boxes with belly bands, which held 4 fridge magnets using clear pebbles with In-Colour Designer Series Paper.  I punched out  circles with the words Create, Inspire and Share from the DSP and glued them to the bottom of each pebble before adding the magnets. The last one was flowers. I thought it was clever!

This year I've made tea bag holders using the Envelope Punch Board. I used two 12 x 12 " sheets of each colour of the latest In-Color Fresh Florals DSP and the new Label Me Pretty bundle.

I hope everyone I swap with liked them! They can even re-use the envelope on another project if they want to as there's no glue.

They are fairly quick and easy to make you can get four out of each sheet of DSP - cut down to 5" x 5" from the spare you can get the strips for the belly bands.

Using the envelope punch board punch to make a little envelope which neatly fits a tea bag and a little belly and

Here's a quick video showing you how I made these little envelopes.

I will show you the wonderful swaps I got in the week.

Click here to go straight to my Stampin’ Up On-line store if you want to see all the amazing products you can buy but be careful, once you get the crafting bug it can become addictive!
