A lovely set of 5 cards using the Daisy Delight stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Happy hump day peeps!

Today I wanted to share the first in a series of video tutorials for a set of 5 cards made using the lovely Daisy Delight Photopolymer Stamp Set - sadly the matching Daisy Punch is currently unavailable as it has been so popular.

Nevertheless, I wanted to show you my cards - you can always fussy cut the flowers until you can get your hands on the punch!

All the cards are fairly simple, using minimal supplies - each a different design, some CASED and adapted from Pinterest - I'm slightly obsessed with that site and can spend hours drifting from one topic to another! After I've shared them all with you with matching envelopes, I'll show you the gift box I made to put them in. They really do make a lovely present - who wouldn't love to receive a set of blank cards - or is that just me?

So I'll stop waffling(for now) and show you the first card. I love how it turned out.

Supplies and instructions below:-

An A6 Whisper White card base - half a sheet of A4 measuring 14.8cm x 21cm scored at 10.5cm
A strip of Delightful Daisy DSP - measuring 14.8cm x 6 cm
The largest square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies in Chocolate Chip cardstock
Two Daisies stamped on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock in Daffodil Delight Classic Ink (one with the centre stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink), cut/punch out and layer together - I may also have added a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brushto give it a bit of sparkle!!
I stamped the left hand bottom corner of the Whisper White C6 Envelope to match the flower - isn't it pretty!
Finally the three daisy image is stamped at the top left hand and bottom right of the card front.

If you want to purchase any of the products used, they are all linked above.  Here's the video - I'd love to hear what you think so please feel free to leave me a comment either on the video or below.

Another card using the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set by Stampn' Up!

Happy Sunday one and all

I wanted to share one more card based around the final project we made at my recent classes. As mentioned in my last post all the cards used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle.

This card is CASEd (COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING) from the very talented Sam Hammond aka Pootles. I really love clean and simple cards without too much layering as I'm always conscious of postage costs in the UK which are extortionate!

In the class, the colours we used were Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry so this time, I decided to use Tempting Turquoise and Dapper Denim - don't they go well together?

I actually made three versions (as you can see below) as I love showing how to step up projects but just changing or adding a few extra embellishments or embossing.

The first card (bottom left) is clean and simple and very like the original although I decided to offset the Dapper Denim matting layer to change it up a little. The second card (bottom right) is stepped up by adding some stamping (the bubble balloon stamp from the set) to the base to create a background and the Dapper Denim and Whisper White panels are smaller (7.4cm x 9cm). I love the way it turned out.

The final card and the one I filmed is the most detailed with the card base embossed using the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, The Dapper Denim and Whisper White panels are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals and the final addition is some Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine. Here's the video on my YouTube Channel.

If you enjoy the video please hit subscribe so you don't miss any future video's. I'd also love to hear your comments and get some feedback. I'm amazed that I've got 145 subscribers already but would love to increase my audience and if you live in the UK and would like to order any of the items I've used you can click on the links above and you'll be taken (if I've done it right lol) to my on-line shop.

Happy Father's Day!

Back again - two days in a row, I know what is going on!

An even quicker post today to share the card I made and gave to my lovely Dad for Father's Day today. I used a recently retired Stampin' Up! stamp set called Nailed It that I bought as a bundle from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue with some matching framelits.

I'm gutted it hasn't carried over to the new Annual Catalogue as I think both the stamps and dies are great for male cards, which I often struggle with. Oh well, I'll get over it as there are so many fantastic sets in the new catalogue!

I also wanted to share another video - I thought I should film a few while I'm on a roll as I've been so slack of late! This is another card made with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous bundle and the Number of Years stamp set with the Large Number Framelits. I wanted to keep the card fairly simple with minimal colours but wanted to add a bit of texture to the background so used the Brick Wall Textured Impressions embossing folder I'm rather pleased with the way it turned out.

I used Soft Sky for the base, Night of Navy for the first matting layer and whisper white for the top mat. I cut the Happy Birthday from the matting layer to be frugal and then a scrap to die cut the numbers and little banner. Inside has another mat of whisper white which is stamped with Night of Navy and Pool Party ink. I embossed the flap of the envelope to with the same embossing folder as I love to match the envelope with the card in some small way.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous - new stamp set by Stampin' Up!

It has been a while - there just have not been enough hours in the day!

Last weekend I spent two days at a local music festival with a dear friend and her teenage daughter. It was great fun - got to see Pete Tong, Rag'n'Bone Man, Dizzy Rascal, Chaka Khan to name a few. Lots of dancing, fun and laughter!

I had my monthly card classes on Thursday evening and this morning. Three ladies came on Thursday evening and we had a great time. There was supposed to be two today but unfortunately, one of my ladies was rushed to hospital last night - luckily she's back home and doing ok after a night of observation. Here are the projects we made, all based around the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous bundle .

My next few tutorial videos will show you how to make these cards. Hope you like them.

Daisy Delight by Stampin' Up card tutorial

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry I've not been about for a few weeks. Life and work has been a bit hectic and I failed to find time to blog or do any new YouTube videos!

With our new annual catalogue launching on 1 June, I wanted to make a card using the gorgeous Daisy Delight stamp set (#143669) and matching punch (#143713). There are lots of cards using the large daisy image so I decided to use two of the smaller stamps and I'm really pleased with the way they turned out.

This is the card I made in the video - its a basic card but I love the way it looks and I thought it would be helpful to step it up a little for all the experienced and avid crafter's. I hope you like them all?

The card bases are all standard A6 using whisper white card stock. The panel is made using Elegant Eggplant measuring 5.5 cm x 14.5 cm. The three stamped panels are 5 cm x 4.5 cm. The decorative element on the stepped up versions are cut using one of the Flourish Thinlits dies cut in half. Here's the video - enjoy!

I had several important birthdays at the end of May but couldn't show any of the cards I made until they had been received.  My gorgeous nieces and nephew became teenagers on 27th May - here are the cards I made for them.

Katie loves birds so the hummingbird from the retiring Picture Perfect stamp set was just right so I paired that with the Number of Years (#140653) and Timeless Textures (#140517) stamp sets.

The retired Everyday Hero stamp set was perfect for Cooper and with that I used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous (#143662).

For Kendal I decided to use the new Happy Birthday Thinlits die (#143700), Lots of Labels Framelits (#138281) and the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.

The Labeler Alphabet (#141936) stamp set is perfect for personalising cards.

If you'd like to have a browse round my Stampin' Up! On-line store, please click on the following link . You can have a look at all the lovely new products in the annual catalogue and lots of items that have carried over. Oh I can't wait to make and share more projects with you.
